At Textio, we are deeply committed to helping companies build more inclusive teams and cultures. That’s true in the tools we create, like our recently announced inclusive guidance for LinkedIn posts and comments, and also in how we build our own team internally. We’re always pushing to live up to our principles, and today we’re taking a big step in continuing to grow our company with inclusion in mind: noted DEI strategist and leader Jackye Clayton will be joining Textio as our new VP of Talent Acquisition and DEI.

Jackye is an acclaimed thought leader and inspirational speaker on recruiting and DEI topics, having recently given the keynote at HR Executive’s Spring HR Tech event. She brings years of experience recruiting across a variety of industries including Technology, HR, Legal, Finance, and Operations, and most recently served as the DEI Strategist at SeekOut. Jackye was previously an editor for RecruitingDaily, and currently co-hosts a popular DEI podcast, Inclusive AF.

Textio’s purpose-driven vision is one of the things that drew Jackye to the company. “What makes Textio magical is its vision and commitment to helping organizations create a diverse and inclusive workspace. One of the most significant barriers to creating diverse workspaces is communication. In different cultures, words have different meanings. These different meanings, when left unchecked, can lead to prejudices and misunderstandings.”

While Jackye begins her new role Monday, she has long followed Textio. “I have always been consistently impressed by the product's transformative nature, the company's unique culture and team, and the overall dedication to what they do well. I am thrilled to join Textio and be a part of this growing and innovative organization!”

Textio’s success depends on having the right team in place, building the right products, and listening to our customers. As Textio CEO Kieran Snyder shares, Jackye’s background is the perfect fit during this period of growth. “Jackye has decades of expertise and leadership at the exact intersection of talent and diversity and inclusion work. She will lead all related work at Textio, provide critical expertise to our customers, and be a leading voice in the products that we create for the broader ecosystem. We are fortunate to get to work with her at Textio!”

Jackye has been named one of the 9 Powerful Women in Business You Should Know by SDHR Consulting, one of the 15 Women in HR Tech to Follow by VidCruiter, one of the Top Recruitment Thought Leaders that you must follow by interviewMocha Magazine, and is on the 2021 Top 100 list of Human Resources Influencers by Human Resource Executive Magazine.

We are so happy to welcome Jackye to the Textio team!
